Wow pink pumpkins! I love the color pink but my hubby would gag if he had to live in that!

Personally, I do not like it. Seems to me there is lots of stuff and cluttered, and I am not a pink girl. But, you could probably pull it off Shabby, because I have seen what you have done thru pictures, and you always do great.

Those pumpkins are pretty! It does look 'cluttery' until you look at the pictures taken back from everything, then I can see that it would work. Please share pictures if you do this shabby--I always love to see all of your pink!

Are any of you decorated for fall, yet? With almost 100 degree afternoons around here, it just doesn't seem right, yet. I found my fall wreath yesterday and I'm anxious to put it up!
I'm so looking forward to those cool fall temperatures and pretty leaves!

I'm going to start some of that this weekend, I think.

I got the new issue of C&B and was looking it over today. They had a photo of a front porch where they had cut black fishnet stockings and pulled them over the pumpkins to create some interest and texture without having to paint them. They were cute. There were some nice articles in the newest issue. I got a few ideas for fall decorating that I'm going to try out.

Oh...wow! First of all, I come to the defense of "thing" clutter...I normally like lots of things on the walls and everywhere. But from the look of the photos, there is too much fabric around and I felt like it would have a dusty feel to it, unless the person who cleans house there takes all of that apart weekly, to clean. And secondly...I'm not feeling fall there. Kudos to the decorator for all she did, but it's just not for me (and I'm no expert!). I need some orange, gold and brown to make it feel like fall. I don't mind painting pumpkins white or black but pink...I'm not so sure about that.

I've finally got my fall mantel done and thought I would share some pictures. I know some of you weren't wild about the fabric and the pink in the first pictures I shared, but it works well in my house, and I didn't have to put away all my other pink stuff in order to make the fall decorations fit into my overall decorating scheme, so I'm happy. I've tucked in a few little splashes of orange and coral, but mostly it's pink and white with a couple of metallic-look pumpkins and a bit of black. It's still looking like we can post only one picture at a time here, so I'll put the others in other posts.

Well, now it looks like I can't post any pictures at all. Maybe the program has a "Pink" filter. I'll try again. Attachments:

Ah, there it is. Here's another view, then I'll post one from a distance. I apologize for the poor photos. My camera's settings seem to be a little off, and I can't get the flash to work. Attachments:

Well Shabby, it looks really nice. Your home has such a welcoming feel. Love the pink/green chest too!

I think that look turned out very well in you home, shabby. The pink is so pretty and I love the fabric. It's always nice to be able to keep out your things without having to store away items for each holiday. Great job!
