Don't tell me you had your friend take your photo on the train, with the horse's head in place... ;D I love the look on the other lady's face! Also, the horse's head brings a lovely touch to that vintage dress you previously showed us...

He he, funny huh! The look on that lady's face is absolutely priceless. We did not even realize she was in the picture until after we looked at it. I love to "dress up" my dress form. I ordered a vintage mannequin head from Etsy. It is a very unusual folk art type head. I will make sure I take a pic when it comes in. I think it will go well on the dress form. I am going to go to my friends store and buy "Rose" (name of my dress form), some more vintage clothes this weekend. I really really need therapy ;D

HaHa! MY dress form's name is Sylvia! The woman that I got it from (Freecycle!) told me her name so I thought it would be wrong to change it. Suits her, anyway...
I bought one of those heads that the students at hair salon school "practice" on. The student who had it, must have failed - the hair is all cock-eyed! lol I keep saying I'm going to even it off but it might turn out worse! I can't wait to see your vintage head - I've always wanted one of those...

I was flashing on the character of Bottom from A Midsummer Night's Dream when I saw the picture of you with the horse head. It's hilarious!

O my goodness. What fun. Yep, love the expression on her face. I wonder if people were a little "frightened" to sit by you. lol
Vintage Girl...I didn't realize you took a train to work. Life in my little town is way so backwards. We have no public transportation, not even a bus. There is an older couple that drive around with "Taxi" sign on top of their suv.

Yup been taking the train for 15 years! But believe m there are many many days when I wished I lived in a small town. The train ride is only 25 minutes, but if I drove, it would take me anywhere from 1-3 hrs each way. I only commute 35 miles But the traffic is so heavy it is ridiculous. I have to keep a car at both end of my commute, because when I get off the train I still have to drive 17 miles. Just imagine, the worst part of the commute is the beginning 18 miles (when I am on the train). With a bad traffic day and an accident, that 18 miles can take up to 3hrs. Be happy you live in a nice quiet congestion/traffic free town

Mac I live in a small town with no bus or cab service etc and I'm glad of it. If I want to shop in the big city it's only a 45 min drive from here so it's the best of both worlds!

How the heck do you keep a car at both ends? Wow. Our nearest city for shopping is 1 hour. No bad, but sometime I wish I could just hop in the car and be there is a few. I definately would not want to deal with traffic you talk about Vintage Girl.

A lot of people who take the train have cars at both ends. We just leave it in the train parking lot overnight and on weekends. Most of us keep beater cars at the train end, because otherwise they get stolen or broke into. I am on my 5th traincar. The first one got stolen years ago and never recovered and the others I take to pick-a-part when they start costing too much to keep running, or when they cannot pass smog. I buy ugly cheap cars that run and that is about all they do. Most of them do not have air or heat, and they are downright ugly. But they get from point A to point B, and that is all I need. My car that I use to go from home to the train station is my nice vehicle. Some people take a bus, but it takes me 2 buses and another hour to go the 17 miles from the train station to work. Traffic around here is a daily occurance. I had to get off the fwy this morning because they closed 3 lanes for an accident. It took me an hour to go the 17miles on surface streets because of the congestion. When I retire, I am not going anywhere. I am so over traffic 24/7

This is so interesting reading how others live and deal with everyday life where they live. I love learning about other areas of the country. I kind of feel bad saying that to get to my 2 part time jobs.....I can leave the driveway and be there in 4 minutes depending if I get stopped by the one stop light. lol

Mac I had to laugh when I read you have one stop light - at least you have one! We have a flashing 4-way ha! We also have one grocery store with three gas stations so we're living high on the hog! I love it here and wouldn't change it.
