Hello Everyone,
I can not believe it is the middle of July. Our summer here in NW Ohio has not been a typical summer. The last 2 days it was barely 70 degrees. We are short on rain, and the bunnies are eating well on our garden.
I am proud to announce that Austin has passed the state nursing boards and is now an LPN. It has been a long time coming. He is working where I do as an STNA, and he will transition soon to an LPN position. He is planning on staying at home for a bit to save money, then he will probably move to Columbus, OH, and will enter a RN Program.
Ashley......I dropped Ashley off at the airport on May 10, and she spent 1 month in Weslaco, TX with her boyfriend and his family. On June 8, she flew to Hamburg, Germany, and spent a month with the family she was an AuPair for 3 years ago. July 3rd she took the train to Munich, Germany, and met up with some BGSU students and they took the train to Salzburg, Austria. She is now at her study abroad in Salzburg. So far she has been to the Baltic Sea, Munich, all over Hamburg. She hung out at a palace, toured the Dachau Concentration Camp, and this weekend is going to Prague. She will go back to Texas for a week before coming home on August 25
With this latest incident with the passenger plane, I truly want her back in the states now. It has been tough not seeing her for so long. We have SKYPED a couple times, but with the time difference and she has very limited access to the internet, we just send a message back and forth.
My job in medical records is going great and I love it. Dave's company is laying off, and I am guessing he will be next unfortunately.I am not ready to deal with that again. Our doggies are doing okay considering their age. Holly is still with us and seems to be doing okay considering she is 14 years old.
I sure miss everyone here.
