Hi, everyone. It's quiet around here again. Where did everyone go? I hope you're all having a great 4th of July! Mine will be quiet. My family is out of town, and so is my neighbor, so there's nobody to hang with except the cat. I'm busy with a couple of home improvement projects, including a ten dollar dresser I bought at Value Village, repaired all by myself, and am now painting up with Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint. I'm going to put it in my garage-turned-crafts-room to hide some of the clutter and make the room feel more like an actual room. I originally intended to use it outside to make a little container garden, but I've decided I'd actually like a smaller dresser for that since my courtyard is so small. So I'm on the hunt for just the right dresser or desk to put outside. Luckily, I believe all the thrift stores are open today.
The weather has been alternating between drizzly and sunny, which is pretty typical for this time of year in Washington. The sun's out today, so I'm going to get to all my spray painting projects today while I still can. Then maybe I'll run out to buy something special for dinner (like take-out, lol).
What are the rest of you doing? What's keeping you all so occupied.

Shabby your dresser sounds so cute. Please post pics when you're finished painting! Nothing much going on here. Our town had fireworks Saturday night then on Sunday another town near us had fireworks so tonight it will just be neighbors shooting them off. It's warm and a little humid today which is typical for the 4th of July in these parts! Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Not much going on here. Our weather has not been the best for summer July weather. Saturday night I was outside with the neighbors and had to put capris and a sweatshirt on. Got quite chilly. Saturday I went to St. Joseph, Michigan, to see a lighthouse, but did not get to walk out to it because there were no parking spots to park and go see it. So frustrated. We saw it from afar. Grr. I drove 130 miles one way and could not walk out to it. So frustrating.
I do visit here, but it has been very quiet. My new job is going great, and I am so happy I switched careers. Daycare had overtaken my home and I am still working on getting rid of stuff. As always, lots of projects to do, but never find the time.
HAPPY BELATED 4TH OF JULY FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy belated 4th of July everyone:) I have not been on here for a while, as I have had more health issues. Recently had a minor heart attack!!! I am dealing with that and the continuing issues with my Mom. But hopefully things will settle down and I can be here more often. Weather here in Southern CA has been hot and humid. 4th of July was nice and relaxing. Just hubs and I. We barbecued some steaks and relaxed. No fireworks are allowed in our city, due to the horses. There was a laser show at the horse arena, and we could see part of it from our yard. I did recently find some vintage ice cream flavor signs. They are from a dairy in Idaho that had a small ice cream store. I found them on ebay. I installed them on the side of my 1930's ice cream freezer. I will try and take a pic and post it here in the next few days. They lady who sold them to me inherited them. Her Uncle ordered them new and did not use all of them, so this is the new old stock. They look great. Hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer:)

Oh my gosh, VG, I'm so sorry to hear about your heart attack. I hope that your health improves and continues to improve. Your 4th sounds lovely. I hear you on the taking care of your mom thing. I remember having to do that with my folks, and it's a strain. I can't wait to see the pics of your ice cream signs. You have the best luck finding awesome vintage stuff!
