My son got married three years ago and moved out. So, at this point, we figure he is not coming back. So, time to reclaim the space! (aka, my poor back . . .).
For the past couple of weeks, we have moved about every piece of furniture in the house -- several times! Sam occupied the upstairs area which in our little cottage house is basically one big room with a bathroom. We took out his bed, dumped the remains of his belongings, and began making a "study/office/man cave" for me. I have had to be careful with Libby (wife) that she does not figure out that the result will be just for me, and I have even had to -- at least temporarily -- put up with her vignettes of the kids old toys, but I think it will be good once complete. I'll try to post a pic or two soon.
Really, it's been kinda fun rearranging everything. The house is becoming more functional in the process.

Sounds like fun. I love to rearrange furniture, only problem is, usually it ends up right back where I started. Austin should be done with nursing school soon, and I have plans for his room as well as he says he is "moving out". lol We will see. I remember your upstairs, very nice. Have fun!

Sounds like fun Allen. I am looking forward to pics My daughter has moved out, but only to Dads house as it is closer to her work. Not doing anything with her room yet, as she does sometimes come and stay on the weekends. When she is gone permanently, I plan to turn her room into a library/girl cave ;D
