We've been busy for the last few days. Picking, breaking, and canning! Nothing beats home canned beans in the winter. I'll have to admit that about two thirds of these came from a friend's garden. I think she got carried away at planting time. But, as they say, works for me! Allen Attachments:

Wow, you've been busy! They sure look great on your shelves. There really is nothing like home grown/home canned food.
My beans were a bust this year. Guess I still have time to plant another round.

Looks like you're ready for the zombie apocalypse! I hope you've laid in a good supply of Beano! I was just listening to a program on a local NPR station about making your own jams and jellies. It made me tired just to listen to it.

It's really not that hard, shabby, and it's a lot of fun once you get started. And you don't need a lot of special equipment for jelly, jams, and pickles. The beans have to be done in a pressure canner, but you don't need that for the jams.
