I'm trying to upload some pictures of my new pink bathroom and toilet seat but am having some trouble. Forgive my bungled attempts as they pop up, please. It's not working the way the help page says it is supposed to in spite of the fact that I compressed all the pictures. [/img] Attachments:

[/img] I didn't paint the walls pink. They're a color called marshmallow, but in certain lights it almost looks pink from the pink of the curtains, and other times it looks almost lavender. I like it better than I thought I would. I'm going for a sort of retro look. --Shabbychick [/img] Attachments:

I've been trying to get this cupboard I bought at an antique store a couple of years ago hung up somewhere, and I've finally got just the spot for it. --Shabbychick [/img] Attachments:

Only one more after this, I promise. You can see the beaded curtains I bought at shopwildthings.com to replace the door on my walk-in closet. I get a lot more light and room in the closet now, and I love beaded curtains. [/img] Attachments:

Last one. I wanted something kind of glitzy and glamorous since I have so much chrome already, so I spray painted the cover plates and stuck on some rhinestone flowers I picked up at Michael's. By the way, the shower curtain is actually a set of window curtains I picked up at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I had to hang the curtains and the valance on two separate tension rods. They stay dry because there's a set of glass shower doors behind them. Thus ends the pink bathroom reveal. I have left space on one wall for a painting or something that I have yet to discover. --Shabbychick [/img] Attachments:

Thanks, Vintage Girl! The toilet seat is a regular oak toilet seat that I got for five dollars at Bed, Bath and Beyond because it had been a floor model or something and was missing a bit of the hardware. I painted it and stenciled the designs all by my little old self! I'm glad you like it. Now that I've had some practice, I'm going to see what I can do with the plastic toilet seat in the chicken bathroom.

Thanks, Linn. It was a lot of work (especially the toilet seat) but it was fun to do. Now that I'm off work and on vacation for the rest of the summer, I can start looking for just the right thing for that empty space on the wall. --Shabbychick

I cannot believe you did that toilet seat. It is fantastic!!! You really did a great job. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the other one. Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the toilet silly!!! ;D

Thanks! I want to paint the cabinets and the little bookshelf in there (which I got for six dollars at the Goodwill). I'm thinking of using the Cabinet Transformations system they sell at Home Depot. My sister just used their Countertop system and came out with an awesome countertop in the kitchen.
I sent Rustoleum a letter asking if they'd consider making their appliance epoxy paint in more colors, and I got a reply saying they'd forward my letter to the appropriate person (probably via the delete button).
The cabinet paints come in a lot more colors, though. Since I can't afford to move till real estate prices come back up for condos, and since I'm still underwater, I figure I might as well make the place as colorful as I want it to be.
