Except for a cracked stained glass window , the ol' garden shed is coming along. I am about a year into the building, and at my speed/time, about a year from completion. But it has been a lot of fun to design, build, re-design, and build some more. I had a guy who knew what he was doing to get it framed and "under roof," then I am finishing it. I have the inside mostly done, except for some shelving and trim work -- and of course the ceiling that I have not quite decided what I want to do there. I have natural gas heat for winter and a fairly large vent fan for summer. I am thinking a screen door may be a good addition as well. My next thing will be shutters for the windows and a window box for under the hopefully repaired soon stained glass. I may get into a bit of landscaping around it this fall, or not. I'll post a pic of the outside below. When the inside is more respectable, I'll post some inside shots, too. Maybe by this fall. Allen Attachments:

It's darling. Where are you going to put the bar? With heat and air, you could practically live out there. I vote yes on a screen door. They're charming and keep the mosquitoes out. I love the idea of the shutters and window box. Kudos to you for doing most of the work yourself. I don't have that kind of patience. If I can't finish a project in a week at most, I don't even start it. This will be great when you finish it all up. What kind of landscaping do you have in mind?

Not too sure yet on landscaping yet. On the lower side, there already is some native wildflower type plants -- trillium, Lenten rose, wild delphinium, and a couple of ferns. So, I'll probably just clean that up and go with it. In front, I'll do something "cottagey," i.e. more blooms kinda like I have in the picture I posted. Then on the upper side, I'll need to incorporate a path to the rear where I have a storage area for mowers, etc.
Of course, all this is subject to change if my wife says so. I'll get it all done someday and post a pic or two!
