Here's my nomination for one of the best blogs ever: www.yvestown.com/ . I hope that worked. I haven't tried adding a hyperlink yet. This gal is the one I told you about before who lives in Belgium and has so many beautiful, colorful things in her house. Another blog I really like is Dumped and Discovered, which is here: dumpedanddiscovered.blogspot.com/. This is where I learned how to make the kraft paper floor that I put in my upstairs hallway. She hasn't updated this in six months, but she just started teaching a new grade this year, and I imagine she's busy trying to learn the new curriculum, write all new lessons, and do all the assignments herself. I expect she'll be back again come summer. She's great with repurposing old things, and she and her husband both have a great sense of humor.

I somehow found the Dear Daisy Cottage Blog a few years ago...it's not an active blog anymore BUT there is a list of other blogs (BLOG CANDY) that you cannot imagine!Just scroll down when you see the yellow house. Besides that, when you go to the Daisy Cottage Blog, make sure that you have the sound turned up - there's also what I think of as lovely mood music! Trust me, you're going to have enough blogs to look at for quite a while... deardaisycottage.typepad.com/daisy_cottage/blog-candy.html (Also check out ARCHIVES on the top of the blog) The creator of Daisy Cottage has a new website, "Images by Kimberly" and you can get there by clicking on the first duck stamp, on the right side of her blog. It also has music!

I agree - her bird/duck photos are lovely but...I miss what she had before too.

Actually, yes, it is the same blog. It was here rather than in the dumped and discovered blog (though I love that one, too). I love my kraft paper floor even if it did take forever to finish.

Shabby, I do remember it took a while to finish the kraft paper floor, but it was so worthwhile! It is so different from the run-of-the-mill flooring and it must give you a great feeling of satisfaction. I must have bookmarked that site when I saw what a lovely project you completed.
