Have any of you started your garden planning, yet? I am going to try and 'map' out my raised bed garden for this year. I want to try some new plants, as well as try and grow enough tomatoes to can a years worth.
I'm also going to try strawberries again. Our two years of drought finished mine off, so I will be starting from scratch.
I'm especially looking forward to flowers! Come on spring!!

Spring can't get here soon enough for me! We haven't tried planting tomatoes before but this just could be the year to do it. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water. I usually put a hanging fern on the porch and I'd like to get some flowers for the porch this spring. Other than trying tomatoes I think I'll leave the rest of the gardening to people who know what they're doing. It would be much safer that way!

We stopped by the Co-op yesterday and bought cabbage plants, broccoli plants, and some seed for later on. We are supposed to have one more blast of winter next week, so I will wait until after that, but I will go ahead and plant my cabbage and broccoli. Will also do peas if the ground is dry enough to at least work a little. Hey, our daffodils are popping up, so it's time to get going!

When you're choosing flowering plants try to make some of them 'out of season' performers so you have some year-round colour, or put in spring and early summer bulbs to get the garden off to a great start.

A well-planned landscape is pleasing to the eyes and enhances the value of your property, while incorporating your ideas and needs; however, planning a landscape is not merely arranging plants on your property

Regular maintenance of your yard, plants, and flowers will also allow you to effectively manage weeds that may otherwise damage your landscape.
