I'm really not a fan of dryer sheets (although I admit I like the scents) because of all the chemicals, but I bet one of those would help take the smell out of an old suitcase!

Marie, did you guys have any luck with the charcoal in Ashley's suitcase? I'm really liking the suitcase look and might start moving toward this solution for a lot of my storage needs.

Storage in small places is so hard to figure out. I finally broke down and bought some cheapo wall cabinets from Wal Mart and my hubby hung them fairly high on the wall (we have a 14 foot tall wall in the bedroom). I will say this--they hold lots of fabric and are a great place for my seasonal curtains and decorations.

Oh gees Shabby, now she is trying to sell them. Why she bought 5 or 6 to begin with I will never know. Last year in her apt she used them as a nightstand. Now trying to sell them. She paid too much for them to begin with at a Vintage shop, I hope she can get her money out of them, but have my doubts. I didn't get a chance to do the charcoal thing yet......my life has been so confusing lately.

Good thinking, though, Rosemary, to hang them up high. It gets them out of your way when you don't need them without taking up any more floor space. I should do more with that.

Maybe she can gift them to you, Marie, and you can turn them into a coffee table or something. Or a lamp.
